How to travel in Copenhagen

Coming by airplane

When arriving at Copenhagen Airport there are three easy ways of getting from the airport to Vesterbro or to your hotel: taxi, train and metro 

The following prices are from Copenhagen Airport to Vesterport Station and/or Copenhagen Central Station and to the venue – Scandic Copenhagen – as they are quite close to each other.

Step outside the airport and grab a cap or you can call and order a cap at one of the following companies:

Train

You can take the ‘Öresundstrain” (-> Østerport) from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station and walk from there to Vesterport St. (5 min walk)

In Copenhagen Airport, you will find entrance to the train station in Terminal 3.
You can check departing trains at the ticket office in Terminal 3 or at the following website: www.rejseplanen.dk 

 

Tickets: 

You can buy tickets for the train at DSB’s ticket office in Terminal 3 or at the ticket machines which you will also find in Terminal 3.

Metro

You can take the Copenhagen Metro from the airport to Vesterport Station. To get to Vesterport Station, you will need to change metro lines at Nørreport St.

 

You will find the airport metro station in extension of Terminal 3.
The metro runs every 4-6 minutes during the day and evening and every 15-20 minutes in the night. 

 

Tickets: 

You can buy tickets for the metro at DSB’s ticket office in Terminal 3 or at the ticket machines which you will also find in Terminal 3. 

Price: DKK 24

 

To get to Vesterport St., you take the metro (M2 line -> Vanløse st.) from the airport to Nørreport st. Here you change to the s-train line (-> A, B, Bx, C or E line) to Vesterport St. 

From the airport to Vesterport is about 25 minutes.
