Julie Bak-Larsen is partner in Bird & Bird’s international Tech & Comms team with extensive experience advising clients in IT, technology, telecommunications and cybersecurity.
Julie Bak-Larsen specialises in the full range of IT law, such as IT disputes, system acquisitions, system implementations, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, cloud, outsourcing, licensing, operations, cyber security and general IT law advice. Bird & Bird’s counselling covers both Danish, international, public and private clients – and both on the customer and supplier side.

Telecommunications includes regulatory advice on logging, registration as a Danish operator and other operator obligations. In the contract law area, this includes set-ups regarding MVNO, MVNE, NRI, fibre, submarine cables and other network planning agreements. Julie Bak-Larsen has extensive experience advising on all areas of the telecommunications sector, including, for example, regulatory matters, network planning agreements and the establishment and operation of data centres as well as advice on co-location agreements.
Julie Bak-Larsen’s knowledge of both technology and connectivity means that she often deals with matters that operate within that framework, such as 5G, self-driving cars, telemedicine, robotics, IoT and satellites and space. As a result of many years of experience in both IT and personal data, she also advises on traffic data in relation to logging, personal data, cyber security, IT security and security breaches.
Julie Bak-Larsen advises companies on proactive cyber and IT security in relation to security compliance, training, strategy and security by design advice in connection with IT development and acquisitions within the various regulated sectors, such as NIS covered sectors.
