About Jens Christian Vedersø
Jens Christian Vedersø did his first hack in 1994, age 12, on an IBM 486, as he was trying to achieve Olympic records in all disciplines in the game ‘Summer-games’ He removed all key on an old keyboard, put in additional springs under the enter-key, and got hold of a power tool with a paddlemixer – and an Olympic star was born! As an Olympic competitor, Jens holds the world pole-vaulting record of 11,23 meters and world javelin record of 192 meters – After this experience, he has hooked.
Jens is a former Naval officer, Intelligence officer, and a recovering regulator. Over the last 10 years he has been deeply involved in developing regulation on cyber security within the electricity sector, defining various security strategies, and designing analysis concepts to prioritize security efforts.
Jens is heading Vestas’ Cyber risk department and as result he has a firm focus on maturing the conversation on cyber risk across the renewable industry.
